1. Delivery Destinations, Shipping Costs & Customs

  • Supported Regions: We currently provide specialized shipping services exclusively to the United States, Australia, and the Netherlands. We are actively working toward expanding our international logistics footprint to additional territories in the near future.

  • Complimentary Shipping: Standard shipping is 100% free ($0.00) for all orders across all supported regions. All packaging, transport, and insurance charges are built directly into the artwork's listed price.

  • Customs, Duties & Import Taxes:

    • For domestic United States orders, there are zero customs duties. State and local sales taxes are calculated transparently at checkout.

    • For international shipments to Australia and the Netherlands, orders are shipped on a DDU (Delivered Duty Unpaid) basis. While standard freight is entirely free, any import duties, customs tariffs, clearance fees, or local import taxes (such as VAT or GST) assessed by local destination authorities are the legal responsibility of the recipient.

To ensure your artwork withstands international and domestic transit without stress or damage, our packaging methods are tailored strictly to the artwork format:

  • Canvas-Only Artworks (Rolled in Hard Tube):
    Unframed/unstretched canvases are carefully protected with acid-free archival film, rolled gently, and sealed inside an extra-thick, crush-proof, dent-resistant rigid shipping tube. This method guarantees structural protection against crushing and allows you to have the canvas stretched or framed locally according to your decor taste.

  • Stretched or Framed Paintings (Corrugated Art Box):
    Stretched pieces are fitted with reinforced shock-absorbing corner protectors, sealed in moisture-barrier wrap, layered in thick, multi-ply protective foam and bubble cushioning, and packed flat inside a heavy-duty, double-walled corrugated cardboard container.

  • Oversized & High-Value Artworks (Solid Wood Crate):
    For oversized, fragile, or high-value framed paintings, we encase the artwork in custom-built, hermetically sealed, heavy-duty wooden crates. The interior is lined with industrial foam braces to fix the artwork rigidly in place, eliminating any internal shifting during transit.

3. Creation & Delivery Timeline (14–20 Days Total)

Unlike mass-printed digital posters, our oil paintings are created organically from blank canvases:

  1. Artist Creation & Studio Curing (7–10 Calendar Days):
    Once your order is confirmed, our professional artists begin painting your piece. This window encompasses sketching, multi-layer oil application, essential pigment drying/curing, and final framing/stretching.

  2. Pre-Shipment Quality Approval:
    During the creative process, our studio will share real-time preview photos and video clips of your finished painting. You are welcome to request color adjustments or brushstroke modifications. We only seal and dispatch the package once you have reviewed and approved the finished artwork.

  3. Courier Transit (7–10 Calendar Days):
    Upon your approval, your package is handed over to our premier international courier partners (FedEx, UPS, or DHL).

4. Shipment Tracking & Status Verification

  • As soon as your order departs our studio, an automated dispatch email will be sent containing your carrier details and official Tracking Number.

  • Tracking Activation Window: Carrier systems typically require 24 to 48 hours following pickup to register and update initial transit scans.

  • You can check live delivery updates either by logging into your account on lagunaoilart.com or by entering your tracking number directly on the courier’s official tracking portal (FedEx, DHL, or UPS).

5. Complimentary Transit Insurance & Damage Claims

Every single artwork shipped by Laguna Oil Art is 100% comprehensively insured against transit damage or loss.

  • In the rare event that your painting sustains damage during delivery, please notify us within 48–72 hours of delivery at info@lagunaoilart.com.

  • Please include clear photographs showing the damaged area of the painting as well as the exterior courier box with shipping labels visible.

  • Upon validation, we will immediately arrange—at your discretion—either a complimentary priority remake/replacement or a 100% full refund. You carry zero financial liability for courier mishaps.

6. Order Consolidation & Gift Deliveries

  • Multiple Paintings: Orders containing multiple artworks are consolidated and shipped together whenever possible, provided drying timelines align.

  • Gift Deliveries: We ship precisely to the delivery address provided during checkout. If your order is intended as a surprise gift for a friend or family member, please notify our team via email immediately after placing your order so we can omit pricing invoices from the physical package.

7. Understanding Delivery Delays & External Variables

While we consistently achieve our 14–20 day delivery window, delivery timelines may occasionally encounter delays due to factors beyond our reasonable operational control:

  • Customs Clearance Procedures: Variable border inspections and customs processing times in Australia or the Netherlands may occasionally cause minor transit delays.

  • Public & Holiday Congestion: During peak holiday periods (e.g., Christmas, New Year, national holidays), courier freight networks and customs offices operate on adjusted schedules. Normal logistics flow resumes immediately post-holiday.
