Seascape Art | Light Between the Tidal Rocks

Proportions are an illustration. Confirm the listed width × height before ordering.

Light Between the Tidal Rocks centers on a small warm opening within a gray cloud bank. Beneath the blue-gray horizon, its light widens through shallow water and travels toward a gap between two dark foreground masses.

The near-black corners frame the reflection without enclosing it. Horizontal broken marks keep the water still in feeling, while the high cloudy field leaves room for the light to emerge gradually in a bedroom or quiet living space.

About the Artist

Meet Julian Maren

Julian Maren returns to the point where sea and sky meet. A low horizon, a softened band of water, and a few changes in light are often enough to shape a composition. He works with blue-gray, sand, and pale white, letting broad horizontal strokes carry the eye across the canvas. His coastal paintings keep the details spare, with particular attention to the space above and around the water.
