Modern Art | Feathers of the Open Air

Proportions are an illustration. Confirm the listed width × height before ordering.

Feathers of the Open Air opens a pale space between two rising wings. Pointed shapes in white, cool gray and soft beige overlap in uneven layers, with the longest feathers reaching outward toward the upper corners.

Dark marks gather beneath each wing and taper downward, anchoring the otherwise airy composition. Small scattered fragments continue the movement into the background. Its broad horizontal format allows the central opening to feel as substantial as the feathered forms around it.

About the Artist

Meet Evan Lin

Evan Lin works with stone gray, chalk white, and muted earth tones. He builds a surface in layers, then scrapes parts of it back so that earlier marks remain visible. An uneven edge or a rough patch often gives him the starting point for the rest of a painting. His compositions leave room around these details, allowing the texture and small shifts in color to carry the piece.
