A Dark Seam Through Sand places its darkest forms on the left, where broad black uprights meet slanted taupe planes. A narrow, uneven seam descends across them and continues toward the lower right, connecting the dense cluster to a much lighter expanse.

Ochre patches interrupt the cream ground without closing its open spaces. Near the middle, a small pointed mark rises above the diagonal; below it, pale angular passages divide the warm tones and accentuate the composition’s long, left-weighted balance.
